Eric Hoyle
Eric’s path to the family farm was not a straight one.
After earning his undergraduate degree from Duke University and an MBA from Yale University, he built a 25-year career in trading and investment management on Wall Street, becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst in the process. Discipline, analysis, and long-term thinking defined his professional life.
But legacy has a way of calling us home.
Following the loss of his mother, father, and stepfather in close succession, Eric and his wife, Alexandra, left Manhattan’s Upper East Side and returned to the family’s farm on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Arriving as the farm’s longtime manager retired, Eric assumed responsibility for a small herd of cattle. In seeking not simply to continue tradition, but to elevate it, he embraced regenerative farming - a philosophy grounded in soil health, animal welfare, and the patient pursuit of excellence.
Today, the same rigor, uncompromising standards, and long-term planning that shaped his years in finance, guide every decision on the farm.
Old Line Prime is the expression of that stewardship - responsibly managed land, humanely treated animals, producing beef of exceptional character and integrity.
Alexandra Hoyle
Alexandra moved with her husband, Eric, from Manhattan’s Upper East Side to Centreville, Maryland in 2022. While the transition marked a dramatic shift in pace and setting, she has fully embraced life on the Eastern Shore. She is actively involved with local land conservation and historic preservation organizations and is a member of the Queen Anne’s County Garden Club.
She enjoys kayaking on the Chester River, observing the farm’s abundant wildlife, and maintaining a regular yoga practice.
A native of Villanova, Pennsylvania, Alexandra is engaged in all aspects of the business, from bottle-feeding newborn calves to packaging and delivering orders, as well as contributing to social media initiatives.
Rusty Smith
Rusty Smith keeps Old Line Prime and the Waverly on Chester Farm running day in and day out - overseeing renovations, maintenance, and the countless details that ensure everything operates smoothly. From infrastructure and equipment to the daily care that keeps the operation thriving - he’s the steady hand behind it all.
With more than 40 years of experience in property management and commercial construction, Rusty brings deep practical knowledge and problem-solving expertise to the business. Throughout his career, he has worked with respected organizations including The Inn at Perry Cabin, Connor Engineering, CB Richard Ellis, Berkshire Property Advisors, Avaya/Lucent, and most recently, the Department of Navy at the United States Naval Academy. A native Marylander and a U.S. Air Force veteran, he approaches every task with discipline, precision, and a strong work ethic.
Beyond the farm, Rusty has spent 15 years as a waterfowl hunting guide and 20 years breeding and running hunt tests for Labradors. He is also a dedicated wrestling coach and a trusted mentor to young men, teaching discipline, resilience, and character, both on and off the mat. His lifelong appreciation for craftsmanship extends to classic cars, where his expertise reflects the same attention to detail and performance he brings to the farm each day.
Mindy Adams
Mindy Adams is a Maryland native who has spent over 50 years living in the Annapolis area. After a brief period residing in Okeechobee, Florida, she recently returned home to Maryland and now resides on the farm in Centreville.
Mindy brings an extensive background in sales, marketing, and business operations, with firsthand experience owning and operating multiple startup companies. Her deep-rooted connections and strong professional network throughout the region continue to be a valuable asset as Old Line Prime Beef
Company grows and expands.
Old Line Prime is excited to welcome Mindy for her grassroots approach, entrepreneurial mindset, and proven ability to keep operations moving forward in a positive, organized, and forward-thinking direction. Her ability to build strong relationships, expand professional networks, and understand customer needs, provides a distinct edge in delivering the highest level of service.
Mindy’s values are rooted in community, environmental stewardship, and strong relationships. Having grown up along the Chesapeake Bay, she is passionate about protecting waterways, supporting responsible land management, and preserving the region’s ecosystem for future generations. She believes that understanding people and building trust are key to making a lasting impact both professionally and within the community.
Cameron Caouette
Cameron Caouette was born and raised in Maryland. He's a graduate of the University of Tennessee, where he earned a degree in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He brings an extensive background in high-quality video production, social media management, and digital marketing, with a focus on building authentic, impactful brand stories.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, boating on the Severn River and Chesapeake Bay, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Volunteers football teams. With a deep appreciation for Maryland’s natural landscape and ecosystem, he's honored to be part of a regenerative farm like Old Line Prime - one that is committed to preserving the land, respecting tradition, and delivering exceptional quality for generations to come.
